Story

The Red Box Project quietly ensures that no young woman misses school because she has her period.

Working as a nationwide community of women, The Red Box Project seeks to provide free sanitary items for the young women in our local schools.

The project gives young women in need - whether for financial or social reasons - the reassurance of enough sanitary protection for their entire period plus a couple left over for next time, not just to get them through the day.

It works by putting a red box filled with pads and pants into schools. Students take what's needed, and then it gets topped up again, with donations from the community supporting the project.

This is a very simple, no frills project and is entirely funded by community kindness to promote the health and dignity of disadvantaged young woman.

Some of our community supporters prefer to donate a cash sum, rather than purchase actual products for our boxes. All donations, in either form, are gratefully received- big or small.
