The One Day Test: Hitting Mental Health for Six

On Sunday, 22nd June 2025, a small village cricket team will take on an extraordinary challenge—playing an entire test match in a single day. From 8 AM to 9 PM, we’ll push our limits, playing for 13 hours straight to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health and the power of community in well-being.

Why We’re Raising £15,000

Mental health struggles affect 1 in 4 people, yet too many, especially men, still find it difficult to reach out for support. Through this event, we are aiming to raise £15,000 to support three important causes:

The Jordan Legacy (80%) – A suicide prevention charity dedicated to providing support, resources, and initiatives to prevent suicide and help those affected by it.

Hemingbrough Cricket Club (20%) – To help build new facilities that support the local community, providing a space where people can come together, stay active, and benefit from the camaraderie that cricket brings.

More Than Just a Game

This event isn’t just about cricket—it’s about resilience, camaraderie, and starting life-changing conversations. We believe in the power of sport and community to improve mental well-being, and we want to ensure that people have the support they need before it’s too late.

We’re bringing together a mix of local club cricketers, Microlise employees, juniors, and special guests to take part in this unique challenge. With support from sponsors, fundraisers, and the community, we aim to turn this into a landmark event that grows year after year.

Join us in raising awareness, breaking stigmas, and making a real difference—because mental health matters as much as physical health, and no one should have to face their struggles alone.
