In November 2022, our beautiful daughter Theodora suffered an episode of temporary blindness. She was rushed to Diana, Princess of Wales hospital where a week of stress and test ensued.

Theodora had every test that can be done on her brain, a canula inserted in her foot that stopped her being able to walk, and drugs administered every few hours. The doctors, ward staff and especially the nurses were all incredible. They kept us reassured and did everything they could to keep Theodora in good spirits. Through their expertise, Theodora has made a full recovery.

It became clear early on just how short staffed and over burdened the ward was. At one point, our nurse of the day was struggling to find the IV infusion pump used to administer Theo‘s time sensitive medication. In the end, she had to go to another ward to borrow one!

To say thank you to the wonderful staff on the Rainforest ward, we wanted to raise money for a new infusion pump, or anything else that the ward truly needs!
