Our aim is to continually raise money for The Monkey Tree Charity in Evies Memory, we will provide Children with terminal/life limiting illnesses who are staying at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, the Teenage cancer trust unit and The Bristol Childrens Hospital with age appropriate wheelchairs, to help maintain their independance at the hospital and at home. Something that was not available to Evie during her short stay there. As a family we had to provide Evie with a wheelchair ourselves.

The charity will also provide meal vouchers to be used at local cafes for these same children/young adults and their immediate families, so they can have a decent meal without worrying about the financial cost. Taking time off work when your child becomes seriously ill can put a huge financial strain on families at an already difficult time.

Our future aim is to continue fundraising to keep the charity up and running and to eventually provide other resourses including some family accommodation, a 'home from home' for those families with childen staying in the hospital. Also to expand our services across other hospitals to help as many chiildren as possible.

Evie spent a few weeks in the BRI receiving treatment for an extremely rare, terminal cancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, the large tumour behind Evie‘s heart caused her to have various health complications and she had to be placed into an induced coma, sadly after 6 days it was decided to remove Evies life support and she passed away just 3 weeks after her initial diagnosis. she fell asleep peacefully with her family all around her aged just 16yrs.

We all miss Evie more than any words can ever explain. losing a child is something no one should ever have to cope with.

We are hoping that by setting up this amazing charity in Evie’s memory, We can provide support for other families going through similar situations, and by doing this we will honour our beautiful girls memory forever.
