I've raised £100000 to Restore Lynmouth Manor House to its former glory, establishing it as a community hub.

Lynmouth Manor House is a wonderful Georgian building set just off the seafront at Lynmouth and is one of the most important properties in the area. In her hayday she would have been the centre of the community and we'd love to restore her to this role again.
The Manor has had a chequered past and over the years has functioned as a school (during WW11 a Bristol Boarding school was evacuated to Lynmouth) a care home, a Holiday Fellowship property and very briefly and most recently as an Art Hotel.
Unfortunately she has been allowed to deteriorate and is in need of exstensive restoration.
I bought the property 2 years ago at auction (leasehold) and we have begun the long job of rescue (a slow and very expensive endeavour).
Our vison is to run the Manor as a hospitality hub, providing holiday cottages and self-catering rooms while also being a place where local arts, crafts, music and theatre are encouraged and displayed and where local groups can use the grounds and Community Room at minimal cost.
To date we have:
Put a new roof on the main Manor (needed as leaking in 36 places before!).
Renovated 2 holiday cottages to provide ongoing income to assist in funding the renovation
Established a Tearoom/Gallery in part of the main Manor to support local artists and encourage involvement from locals and visitors.
Rented part of the outbuilding space to an artisan brewer - now operating as Madrigal Brewery and shop.
We now need to concentrate on restoring the main Manor and bringing the grounds back to their former glory - this is where we need your help!
We are very fortunate in having some skilled trade volunteers who are donating their time to the project which means that your donations will be used to fund required materials. All other volunteers welcome!
