The Lightning Association is a non-profit group who are involved in the restoration of XR724 Lightning F6 cold-war jet fighter to a running condition. The Lightning was the first and only all British supersonic aircraft and harks back to the great days of British aerospace design when Britain ruled the skies. It would be marvelous to bring another example of British innovation back to life and save this fantastic piece of heritage for future generations to admire. We are a small engineering team who volunteer our time and effort. However, funds are tight, and we need a degree of financial assistance for fuel, tools, paint, lubricants, spare parts and sundries. We promise that all donations will 100% be put towards the aircraft restoration.
