I've raised £100000 to Jodie Chesney Foundation

On 1st March 2019 my daughter, Jodie was fatally stabbed in the back as she sat in a park with her friends. She was just 17 years old and this was a senseless murder with no clear motive. The police have charged 4 suspects involved in the crime and they will appear at the Old Bailey on 2nd September 2019.

Needless to say this has torn our family apart. I have decided to setup a charity called the Jodie Chesney Foundation (Website coming soon). This foundation will develop and provide prevention, intervention, education and support to parents of young people, young people and children and those that may not engage in mainstream support, by promoting the reduction and long term eradication of fatal violence by Knives and to relieve the victims of the effects of violence within the community.
I have left my previous job and i'm lucky enough to have experienced colleagues on board who have been working in youth services for many years, as well as the full support of local leaders of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering councils. I am now dedicating my life to this cause with the hope that we can help tackle this knife crime epidemic
We are at the start of our journey with the charity and registration is in progress.
We appreciate any support that is available to support the Jodie Chesney Foundation.
