Story
The war in Ukraine has resulted in many families fleeing to other countries, including England, in search of refuge. In support of this cause The Insulation Assurance Authority (IAA) are looking to collectively raise money through a range of activities.
The IAA have gifted a 2-bed property, located in Watford, for a 12 month period and aim to raise £10,000 to cover essentials including bills, furniture and general living costs for the family.
To raise money The IAA have already hosted a range of activities for employees, friends, family and members throughout the year.
What have we done so far?
Over the year we aim to collectively walk the distance from Kyiv to England and back and to kick start our fundraising social calendar we hosted three fundraising walks. The IAA have received overwhelming support from staff and as a result completed two 26-mile walks and a 10-mile hike.
1) Our first walk took place along the Grand Union Canal on Sunday 26th June from our head office to Leighton Buzzard to Watford (where the property is located)
2) This was followed by a hike at Derwent Reservoir in Northumberland on Saturday 2nd July
3) Our third activity took place on Saturday 20th August along the Grand Union Canal from our head office to Leighton Buzzard to Watford
How can you support?

The Ukrainian family will come to the UK with virtually nothing. We aim to provide a welcome pack including food, toiletries and everyday essentials. Over the course of the year, we will continue to offer this family our support and if possible provide career employment options." - CEO of The IAA
