Story

Suicide in men continues to rise year on year and the North East of England has the highest suicide rate in the country. Alongside our peer support groups and other activities we currently have, we are looking to raise money to provide further services. The waiting list for counselling services can often be up to a year on the NHS and can often be a huge step to recovery but going private is expensive, we'd like to provide financial support to help bridge this gap. We would also like to be able to provide group sessions for further activities to help men find new things in their life they can enjoy and look forward too, for example, group surfing lessons, group paddle boarding, crossfit groups, hiking trips etc. Understanding what the issues may be whist finding love for things in life can prove a huge foundation for better metal health and help to stop the rising suicide rates in our area.
