Me and my family have now been at the Fenn Bell 2 years and when we took over we had a five year plan to complete the site. As many of you will of seen two of our macaws were brutally stolen from their aviaries one night in September, with the thieves pulling out many of their tail feathers. We have had to now spend thousands on extra security to make the site safer for my animals and family and this has meant we have had to put our conservation centre project on hold.

Over the last three weeks we have had many people offer donations of money to help us to help which we are extremely grateful for but pride stopped us accepting them. Lots of people have said I’m mad turning down offers of help and after a think I realised that being a very stubborn person and trying to do it all myself is just not possible, so I'm setting up this donation account.

If anyone would like to donate and help us with getting our project completed we would be immensely grateful. The money raised will go to paying for the extra security we have added and any additional money into four projects here at the Fenn Bell. The most important is to finish the enclosures for the animals we currently keep. Second will be to build an on site vet centre, thirdly an education / classroom so we can do school visits next year.

Our fourth project will be a creation of a memory garden. All people donating will have their names displayed on a wall, or if they wish the name of a loved one. This will be a place for people to sit and reflect on their memories. This would be our way of saying thank you for all of your kind help and support. The cost of this work will run into tens of thousands and any money raised will help speed up the work by allowing us to get people in to help.
