Story
The Hub has been given an allotment in the village of Sixpenny Handley Dorset where we are based. Its approximately a 50x30ft area, unfortunately it has no infrastructure & is very neglected. Our aim is to create a wonderful space for not only growing vegetable's & flowers , but to also accommodate some of our other workshops including art/drawing, yoga & music.
Our other aim is to interact with the local community, this may be by supplying a local fresh food bank or perhaps working along side Age UK & delivering fresh produce to the elderly.
To achieve this we need to build a compost loo, raised beds, pergola & fence the area to keep pests out.
As can be seen from the photo below we have a lot of work to get the allotment into shape.
