I've raised £1000 to to help support The Bawburgh School with extra costs due to covid.

As you are all aware due to covid and the restrictions it has placed on everyone at present we have been very limited in what fundraising we have been able to carry out in the last year. This combined with funding for schools being tighter than ever and also the increasing costs the school has faced to be able to continue to educate our children, it is more in need of money than ever before. As we haven’t been able to have either a summer or christmas fair in the last 12 months, which are our biggest fundraisers we are appealing to parents to donate to our fundraising page in place of if this if they feel able to. We completely understand that times are tough for many of you, but if you feel able to donate to the page , however small it would be greatly appreciated.
Some of the things this money is needed for is to replace some of the lost or damaged books that have been sent home for the children to read whilst in lockdown. Several books haven’t been returned and to enable the children to continue to have books at home these need to be replaced. Also since last march all the schools laptops have to be wiped down after every use, this has unfortunately caused several of the laptop keyboards to stop working, these cost £30 each to replace. The schools broadband has also had to be upgraded to allow learning to both those in school currently and to support children who are learning at home. These are just some examples of the things the school need money for to carry on being able to support our children with their education at this difficult time and beyond.
Our target is £1000, that’s approx £10 per child at the school, we know this isn’t possible for some parents, however some may feel able to donate more, any amount is greatly appreciated. The christmas fair alone usually raises is excess of £1000 so any amount we are able to raise will help go towards all the missed fundraising from this year, and help cover the increased costs the school have due to covid and adhereing to all the procedures to keep the schildren safe now and when they are all able to return hopefully in the near future.
Thank you for your continued support,
The friends of Bawburgh School.
