I've raised £15000 to to help supplement the management team’s playing budget for the 2020/21 season.

Since assuming their positions in January, the new Board of Directors at Berwick Rangers FC have been overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by fans as they look to rebuild the Football Club.
The initial target set by this 1881 Fund was to reach £10,000 by the end of May. We couldn’t have anticipated that this would be achieved by the beginning of April so, for that, we’d like to say a massive ‘thank you’.
The purpose of the 1881 Fund has been clearly stated from the beginning: to give the management team more financial support so they can build a successful Berwick Rangers squad for the 2020/21 season in an attempt to make up for losses that includes a reduced parachute payment and not participating in the SPFL League Cup.
In light of the incredible generosity shown towards the Football Club thus far and with just under two months still to go until the end of May, we have taken the decision increase our fundraising target to £15,000. Again, all of this additional money raised will go to the management team to help with their preparations for the 2020/21 season.
Why contribute?
Founded in 1881, Berwick Rangers are the only English club to have played in the Scottish senior league system. The club’s 1-0 victory over the mighty Glasgow Rangers back in 1967 remains both our greatest achievement and arguably the biggest ever Scottish Cup shock.
With a new Board of Directors possessing a wide range of skills in different area, the club has a clear vision that is focused on building ties in the community.
Already, the club has been successful in achieving grant funding for improvements to the ground, while corporate hospitality and sponsorship have increased significantly and the club’s presence on social media in terms of its engagement with fans and the community has improved considerably.
We believe the feel-good factor is well and truly back at Shielfield Park and for us, a successful team on the pitch is massively important in keeping that momentum going. But a contribution to the 1881 Fund is not just a contribution to the squad, but to a better long-term future for football in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the surrounding area.
Whatever sum you are able to donate towards our efforts will be hugely appreciated.
