I've raised £300000 to help fund a 3G Artificial Grass Pitch for The Snaith School and local community

The Snaith School is a secondary school in East Riding of Yorkshire that serves the community of Snaith and surrounding community. The school has strong curricular and extra curricular sport delivery, in particular football, within the community. The school and community has strong links with a significant number of surrounding affiliated grassroots community clubs, who are also in need of the facility of a 3G Artificial Grass Pitch.
Having being recognised as a preferred location, The Snaith School are currently working closely with the Football Foundation and West Riding Football Association to develop our sporting facilities with the installation of a 3G Artificial Grass Pitch for use by the school and local community.
The installation of a 3G pitch is approximately £600 – £650K. We have been set a challenging target by the Football Foundation to raise 50% of the money. This is obviously not an easy task and one that we cannot do alone so this is where we need help from pupils, staff, members of the community and local businesses.
Sport is part of our national identify. Sport is good for us. It teaches our children how to rise to a challenge, nurturing the character and discipline that will help them get on in life. Above all, sport is fun. Learning to play a sport leads to a lifetime of enjoyment. The more support we have the better chance we have of being successful with our fundraising and ultimately having a sporting facility on our school site that can be used by the community and future generations.
Businesses or individuals donating over £500 will appear on a‘ plaque of thanks’ in the new 3G AGP facility.
