Empower a Future Nurse: Change a Life

I’m excited to invite you to be part of a life-changing journey. We’re raising funds for a 4th nursing scholarship that will provide a young woman from a low-income family in Bangladesh with the opportunity to study at the Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing in Dhaka. This scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, and living expenses.

Why This Matters to Me

This cause is deeply personal. After our father's passing, we wanted to honor his legacy of community service. Inspired by our mother's aspiration for education, despite not having the opportunity herself, my family and I established the ‘Jubada and Abdul Rahman Scholarship’ in our parents' names. Since 2021, we've fully supported three incredible students: Rifat, Saima, and Kulsum. We as a family are committed to continuing these 3 scholarships.

Their Stories

Rifat’s Journey: Rifat’s dream of becoming a nurse was nearly shattered when her uncle, who supported her education, passed away. Our scholarship allowed her to continue her studies, and now, in her final year, she is determined to succeed and make her family proud.

Saima’s Hope: Saima passed her nursing entrance exam with flying colours but did not get selected for a government funded placement and couldn’t afford private fees. When she received the scholarship, she said it was a miracle for her and her family. Her younger sister, inspired by Saima, now dreams of becoming a nurse too.

Kulsum’s Future: Like Saima, Kulsum is awaiting her final results this month (March 2025) and is set to embark on her career in the medical sector. Their success stories are just the beginning.

We aim to raise £6,000 to support another student through a three-year nursing qualification. Your donation will cover everything they need: course fees, exam fees, accommodation, travel costs, and financial support for their families.
