After closing the doors to The Pod back in March it became very clear that we wanted to help our NHS staff through these dark days.

The first thing we wanted to provide was a healthy, nutritious meal after they'd finished a long shift. It was imperative to give these selfless people one less thing to think about during these very difficult times.

However we knew we couldn't do it alone and went about setting up this fund-raising page in order to ask for your help. To make & deliver these meals to front line staff, we're asking for a minimum donation of £5. This enables us to create and deliver a delicious meal that these wonderful people can reheat at their convenience.

Our meals include a variety of homemade soups, beef chilli & jacket potato, chicken korma & rice, sweet chilli chicken rice & seasonal greens, vegetable curry & cottage pie to name but a few! Since the virus has taken a hold some hospitals close their canteens at 5pm and some are not able to provide any hot meals at all. This makes it extremely difficult for night staff in particular, to have something nutritious to enjoy and refuel.

Our fantastic volunteer chefs are working around the clock to make sure these meals are delivered daily to doctors, nurses and other frontline staff on COVID-19 wards that may require complete isolation once their shift starts.

If you would like to buy dinner for an NHS worker or just to thank them for putting their lives at risk for ours (although no amount of money or food could suffice), we'd be extremely grateful for any donation you are able to make.
