Story

We would to raise 33k to help us achieve the following:

3k to raise money to help pay for the headstones for Kia & Kamari who sadly lost their lives to suicide due to severe mental health difficulties they were experiencing as a family.

We are also raising 10k to donate to the Suffolk Mind Charity who have been very supportive of the Ipswich community, developing programs which help to challenge poor mental health and education people on methods for improving the mental well-being of people in Suffolk.

And finally, we are raising 20k to enable the Lipswich Project to build creative facilities and pay for services to help us create new media content aimed at inspiring positive change in the mindset of those most vulnerable in our community.3k to raise money to help pay for the headstones for Kia & Kamari who sadly lost their lives to suicide due to severe mental health difficulties they were experiencing as a family.

Their death sparked the movement that is now known as The Lipswich Project and due to the severe impact of COVID resulting in unemployment and fanatical constraints, the cost of head stones are currently unattainable for the family and we’d like to do something in return for the family allowing us to use the story of their children’s death to spread the word about the impact of poor mental health.THE LIPSWICH PROJECT

The Lipswich project aims to develop a platform for bringing our community together to talk about mental health and promote positive mental wellbeing throughout. With a combination of the use of creative media and the delivery of events, workshops and support groups, the project is fundraising to help launch new creative methods which inspire our community to talk about issues affecting them and develop new ways for educating our community on sustaining positive thinking.

The Lipswich project is working with local musicians and artist to help them spread a meaningful message through music and empower them to become ambassadors for promoting positive mental wellbeing through their own music and other creative outputs. We plan to launch a pod cast with weekly shows, host music and speaking events throughout the county and produce meaningful content which educates and uplifts our community.

The Lipswich Exhibit is our photographic campaign ‘Don’t Speak About It, Be About It’ with images of members of our community who have come together to advocate mental health and wellbeing in our community. We need your help get these images seen and to get the message heard. We are also fundraising for a gravestone for Kia & Kamari Russell.

Thank you for reading, and hope you can help us.
