We are three St John’s dads and we will be cycling an epic 325.7 mile journey (ferry not included) from Montargis Way, Crowborough to Rue de Crowborough in Montargis, France taking just 3 days.

As Year 1 dads, we have been inspired to undertake this challenge to raise money for St Johns CEP School after hearing about the budget cuts that Mrs C and her fantastic team are facing – all funds raised will be put towards the complete refurbishment of the music room, which is an integral part to school life and is in desperate need of a face lift to enhance the experience of the pupils.

We are all total novices when it comes to cycling – we are definitely not your usual “Middle Aged Men in Lycra” so have been training hard!

We are: Steven Ballard, Sean Crawford and Wesley Williams.

Our journey will start at 5.30am on Tuesday 6th August, when we will set off on the 25 mile cycle to Newhaven. After a hearty power breakfast on the ferry, we will cycle from Dieppe to Dampierre-en-Bray completing the first leg of our trip, totalling nearly 90.7miles.

After a good night’s rest and a few croissants, we will carry on cycling the miles 108.3 to Guyancourt

On Day 3 and the final leg, where we are sure we will certainly be feeling it, we will be completing another 126.7 miles through Paris – stopping to get a pic under the tower, of course - to our final destination of Montargis.
