THE BRISTOL GULLS

We are four Bristol based girls taking part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2020, a 3000 miles ocean rowing challenge, unsupported, crossing from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, to Antigua, in the Caribbean.

To promote a safe and healthy relationship with our global waters.

Our aim?

To complete the crossing in the most sustainable way possible.

How?

*By building an Eco Boat in partnership with Rannoch Adventures - this will be the 1st ever Eco Boat to take part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge! *By looking at alternative packaging that we'll be taking on board (food, cosmetics, personal hygiene products…) and by exploring alternatives and sustainable fabrics the kit we'll wear (ie. Econyl)

Where will your donations go?

Rowing across the ocean is hard, but much harder is doing it in an eco-friendly manner. We need to raise £150,000 to be able to cover all our costs: Boat £££££, Shipping £££, Equipment £££, Food ££, Training ££, Travel ££, Kit ££, Insurance ££

We have sold our boat and equipment and are pleased to say that the money recovered will ultimately go to the two local charities we are supporting Clean Up Bristol Harbour and the RNLI Portishead .

In return?

Your donation to the campaign will give you the benefits of having your name displayed on The Gulls' Club page on our website.

Donations of £100 or more will be recognised with your name printed on the boat.
