I've raised £2400 to run more exercise and recovery programmes to break the cycle of substance abuse, crime and prison to help rebuild lives.

Terri Moore and Owen Panton will be tackling 24 CrossFit Hero WOD's in 24 hours to raise funding and awareness for The 180 Project. Starting at 9am on the 28th September 18 and taking place CrossFit Clitheroe, they will complete a different gruelling Hero WOD every hour on the hour for 24 consecutive hours.
The 180 Project is a recovery programme in Lancashire and is one of the first of its kind in the UK, turning recovering addicts and alcoholics into “athletes”. The 180 project works to break the cycle of substance abuse, crime and prison to help rebuild lives whilst also aiming to reach those people who are risk of falling into this cycle as early as possible.

Cross fit is unlike anything else for people wanting to overcome addiction issues, those with negative patterns of behaviour and those that want to change their lifestyle. It's gaining momentum in the US and we've brought it to the UK — to keep people off drugs, off alcohol, out of prison, for good... and to prevent people from entering this vicious cycle.
Cross fit creates a new community that is safe encouraging and accepting, it provides a new positive focus with measurable goals and people can visibly see their progress. Especially for those in rehab, in prison, in transition, or those at risk.Crossfit allows people to see their own potential. This opens up new opportunities: new friendships, new hobbies, new jobs increase self-belief and produce a new identity away from labels such as addict/offender and replace them for Strong. Fit. Healthy. Determined. Committed. Athlete.
