Story
Mae Clwb Ffermwyr Ifanc Pontsiân yn bwriadu cynnal ‘taith gerdded’ arbennig ar ddydd Llun y Pasg er mwyn codi arian at achos da. Bwriad aelodau a ffrindiau’r clwb yw cerdded y pellter o 218 milltir sydd rhwng Caerdydd a Chaergybi (trwy Bontsiân) mewn un diwrnod, a hynny heb gymryd cam y tu hwnt i ffiniau eu cartrefi. Mae’r cyfyngiadau a gyflwynwyd gan y Llywodraeth yn sgil yr argyfwng Covid-19 yn golygu nad oes hawl gan bobol adael eu cartrefi heb fod gwir rhaid. Gan barchu’r cyfyngiadau hyn, bydd y rheiny a fydd yn rhan o’r Jog Off Corona yn cael eu hannog i gyflawni’r daith o’u cartrefi gyda help technoleg fodern.Wrth i bobol naill ai cerdded, rhedeg neu seiclo rhan o’r daith, bydd yr holl filltiroedd yn cael eu cofnodi ar y feddalwedd Strava.Y gobaith yw cwblhau’r daith rhwng naw'r bore a phump yr hwyr ar y dydd Llun, gyda phob cerddwr neu grŵp o gerddwyr yn cyflawni cwota penodol o filltiroedd. Bydd yr holl arian a godir yn ystod y diwrnod yn cael ei rannu rhwng unedau gofal dwys dau ysbyty yn y de-orllewin, sef Ysbyty Glangwili yng Nghaerfyrddin ac Ysbyty Bronglais yn Aberystwyth.

Pontsiân Young Farmers Club is aiming to hold a special ‘sponsored walk’ on Easter Monday in order to raise money for charity. Members and friends of the club hope to walk the 218 miles between Cardiff and Holyhead (via Pontsiân) in just one day – and without taking a step beyond their homes. Restrictions introduced by the Government following the Covid-19 crisis mean that people cannot leave their homes without it being neccesary. By keeping in line with these restrictions, participants of the Jog Off Corona will be asked to complete the journey from their homes with the help of modern technology. As people will either walk, run or cycle part of the journey, all of the miles will be recorded on the Strava software. The journey will take place between 9 and 5 on Easter Monday, with every walker or groups of walkers completing a specific quota of miles. All money raised on the day will be shared between the intentsive care units in Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen, and Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth.
