In 2018 a good friend Alan Gordon (Aldo) was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I chose to sign up to a white collar boxing event to raise funds for both Research and Aldo himself. After Aldo returned from a holiday to Flamingo Land, where he took his 1 year old son, he phoned saying how it was the best holiday. I promised him I'd raise enough funds so he could take Kian again, or to do something similar. Sadly, we lost Aldo. I am choosing to continue the fight, where I hope to raise enough money so Kian and Aldo's family can have an opportunity to do something special in his honour and memory. No amount of money can change the families heartache- but I hope it can help them smile.
