Story

We have worked hard to create a productive garden for all to share and learn at Ellon Academy. We built a rabbit-proof fence BUT on the woodland side there is a steep bank. After 3 years, rabbits have now started to build a warren in this bank and are digging deep underground. They keep popping up in the garden!

We have tried our best to catch and release them and protect individual plants at risk but they have now chewed the bark on some of our prize fruit trees (cordons, step-overs and espalier) so we fear they will die this year.

Please help us to buy rabbit wire and weed barrier to cover this bank and keep the rabbits out for good! We will also need funds to replace some of the trees and buy enviro-mesh to protect vulnerable beds in future. Any donation will be GREATLY appreciated - THANK YOU!
