I was born without a right arm it stops just below my elbow ive had several prosthetics since I was little they're like medieval torture devices and in 28 years they still haven't changed my last one was purely cosmetic it does nothing and never matches my skin tone which is quite funny its more of a hinderance than a helping hand thats why I'd like a Hero Arm from open bionics one that moves and can pick things up and grasp things.

Being born with one arm hasn't held me back in anything ive adapted alot to be able to do things others could like ride a bike drive a car play sports I was on several sports teams growing up when people say you can't do that you've only got one hand it only made me more willing to do it.

I love swimming and the gym dancing all though very badly. I did hide my arm for many years in a pocket behind a bag or my back only wore long sleeves as I was self conscious of how it looked to others I was always aware of it throughout my life new groups of people hand automatically in pocket its a habit that ive finally started to free myself from.

I would like a Hero Arm to help achieve future goals in life.
I want to show my children that you can achieve things if you put the work in dont let anything hold you back from your goals. I want to be their role model.

The Hero Arm would help with all that and more ill be able to hold both my children's hands at the same time you know how children argue about who's turn it is to sit in the front seat of the car well mine argue about who's turn it is to hold mummy's good hand if I had two hands that would no longer be a problem.
