Story

I am raising money to buy a swimming leg for Tamara Peart(known as Timmy).

Tamara has a rare genetic condition called vascular type Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This causes fragile blood vessels and intestines which can burst spontaneously. Tamara is only 18 and has had dozens of operations which have left her with an amputation and an ileostomy. She also has a Hickman line, a permanent drip surgically implanted into neck to give drugs.

Next year, Tamara is going on holiday with her family and her big wish is to go swimming. To do this she will need a specialist swimming leg which will cost about £2000 and is not funded by the NHS. She will also need a custom-made drysuit to cover her Hickman line.
