Story

Courage, Compassion, Connection and the Power of Peer Support

Help us provide peer support groups across Manchester 🤩

I'm doing Great Manchester Run 10km on Sunday 24th May 2020 and I will be joined by Laura Twist, Martin Cody and Matt Rowlinson - if you fancy joining us let me know!

If you can help us in any way, either by running with us or making a donation that would be just SWELL!

Cheers!

Talk About It Mate is a peer-support community interest organisation, promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Founded in September 2017, it has now become established as a Social Enterprise. We are a non-profit, community interest company (C.I.C.).

From March 2020 Talk About It Mate will provide free-of-charge support groups in Greater Manchester for men aged over 18 wishing to connect with others, seek support and gain greater understanding and appreciation of mental health. The goal of these sessions is to create greater self-awareness and establish a supportive network for self-expression. These groups run for 90 minutes each week and provide a safe welcoming place for men people to meet, share their thoughts and experiences and gain support from the group and facilitators.
