We are raising funds to support the Tadley Calleva U9’s age group.

On 17th March 2019 we will take to the streets of Reading to run the Reading Half Marathon, a daunting prospect as 13.1 miles is a very long way for a ‘non’ runner!…….. but something we are confident we will achieve, and all the effort more than worth it to support this group of fantastic young people.

Youth Football would not happen without the energy and enthusiasm of the local people who organise it, and we are very lucky to have the support of some very enthusiastic parents, unfortunately though enthusiasm in itself is not always enough.

All funds raised will go towards equipment and events for the U9’s age group – with our long term goal being to fund a European Tournament Tour for all children within our age group.

Tournaments allow the children to not only bond further on the pitch, but also off the pitch too. It is wonderful to see these children making friends, sharing what they are passionate about, making memories and establishing friendships with their team mates that can last a lifetime.

Seeing their success on the pitch, seeing them support and encourage each other, seeing them become a team and seeing them become “stronger together” is something that wouldn’t happen without youth football.

We have a wonderful group of children that come from a variety of different backgrounds and our primary aim is to offer equal opportunity for all in the age group - fundraising is one way which helps us to do this.
