TACT Connect is a membership scheme that is available to TACT care experienced young people from aged 15 years old, throughout their lifetime. We offer a supportive community, connection and interdependence to our young people and adults, meaning they can return to TACT Connect throughout their adult life, whether that's for social connection, life advice or financial support!
This skydive has been inspired by one of our fabulous members. TJ told us that he wanted to raise money for TACT Connect, so that more young people could benefit from being part of a care experienced community.
Whilst TJ initially shared this as an ambition, before he could say 'lets jump out of a plane', a small group of supporters had gathered with several of our Connect members, TACT Connect Team, some of our TACT colleagues AND our Deputy CEO signing up to complete a tandem skydive alongside TJ on Sunday 17th September 2023.
On this day, our group will jump out of an aeroplane from between 10,000 to 15,000 feet high, free falling at around 120mph before our parachutes deploy and we can rest and enjoy the view!
This is a courageous way to spend a Sunday, and as we create this page that's really starting to sink in!
Given our commitment to TACT Connect, and how scary this will be!, we'd love to reach our goal of £5,000 (£1000 for each year we've been in existence).
This will support the development of our scheme, with money gathered going towards co-creating our offer to our young people who have sought asylum in the UK, and our children with complex needs.
