Story
In memory of Suzanne Tatham
After living with cancer for so many years, our mum sadly passed away peacefully at home on 16/6/24.
Having been told she had 2 months to live at the start of 2020, our mum decided she was going to carry on living life to the full as much as she possibly could.
We know that her friends and family played a massive part in supporting her and keeping her going all this time. She was so grateful for everyone. However, two organisations which really made a huge difference were Maggie's and Hayward House.
Maggie's have been an absolute lifeline for us in some of our darkest days. It is also a place where mum made countless friends and we can't thank the team there enough for everything they have done.
Hayward House is the palliative care centre at City Hospital. Particularly in mums final days they made a huge difference. From delivering all the medication and equipment mum needed, to calling us every day to check in.
It was mums wishes to have no flowers at her funeral. If you would have normally bought flowers we are asking that you consider donating to these very worthwhile charities. They struggle for funding and we can't imagine what mums final years would have been like without them. We will withdraw all the donations in 2 months time and split evenly amongst both charities. We will post up the donation on here for everyone to see.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful and caring words and support.
