Story

Just 20 days ago Kayla was a happy, healthy little girl. Full of fun and always smiling, laughing and singing! One day Kayla woke up with an unexplained limp, unable to put weight on her leg. Only 10 days later test after test Kayla was diagnosed with cancer.

This diagnosis was a shock to everyone and just too much to take in, in that short time. A couple of days later the cancer was identified as neuroblastoma and Kayla had a tumour removed from her neck. Although 1 tumor has been removed she still will have to have further tumors removed at a later date.

Her chemotherapy is due to start late May and she has 18 months of intensive treatment ahead of her. Her hickman line has been fitted for the administration of the chemotherapy directly to her main artery so as not to damage her veins.

Throughout this Kayla keeps smiling and laughing and playing hide and seek on her ward!

Kayla has two big brothers that mean the world to her (and her to them) while mum Stacey is in hospital with Kayla, dad Wayne is at home with the boys.

Until the second week in May Kayla had absolutely no symptoms and this diagnosis is a huge blow to this lovely close knit family.

Kayla is strong and positive and she will fight this and show it who is boss and we would like to show our support by raising funds for whatever the family may need at this time.

Please give what you can and share to support this incredibly strong little girl and her family.
