Story

Why William?

Meet William a very quirky, happy go lucky 7 year old boy.

On the 6th Feb 2019 William was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia! A rare cancer of the blood and bone marrow that occurs when abnormal cells in his body begin to grow out of control.

Williams life has been turned upside down and can no longer live the normal life that he used to know, William is undergoing a intense regime of chemotherapy which is designed to attack the cancer cells in his body, William is now classed as Neutropenic which means his white blood cells (ones that fight infection) do not exist, basically has no immune system leaving him open to infections if not managed properly.

For the next three years William will under go a lot of treatments in an aim to make him better and cure him, we have took on the role of carers as well as parents and at first we thought we could manage but no we have realised that it is going to be a very stressful and expensive three years.

We have come to Just Giving for help to raise money to assist in Williams care, what we earn will not cover everything from: Trips to the hospital on a regular basis To essentials like food (a special diet due to being neutropenic) and Clothing, Towels and Bedding (due to the chemo making him very ill), all the money raised will go to William to make his treatment as comfortable as possible and provide all the necessities he needs over the next three years.

Thank you for taking time to read our story and much love if you can support our little William in his journey.
