Lily is 10 years old. Training at Deeside, she is a rising star in ice-skating. She gained six levels in just one year and is already able to qualify as a coach!

Last season she won or had podium finishes at all the events she participated in at her level and against many older competitors.

This enabled her to rapidly be promoted to higher levels. Lily was also recently selected for the Great Britain development squad.

And now, Lily’s extraordinary talents have led her to be selected to compete in Copenhagen.

However, the trip is expensive.

There is no financial support for young skaters, relying on parents to fund everything including ice time, coaching, dresses, travel, and hotels.

Out of season the costs for Lily's training are around £400 PCM and during the competition season this can be closer to £1,000 when you consider all of the entry fees, dresses and accommodation.

Lily trains 6 days a week on and off ice.
