I'm raising £3000 to establish partnerships between schools in the UK with schools in Tanzania, to learn together and from each other

We are setting up partnerships between schools in the UK and Ireland with schools in Tanzania, to allow children and teachers to jointly explore topics around infection, hygiene, vaccines and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We hope that by bringing together pupils and teachers from different cultures and backgrounds the learning experience will be memorable and create a lasting impact.
This is done in collaboration with the UK-based Superbugs project and the Roll Back Antimicrobial resistance Initiative (RBA Initiative) in Dodoma (Tanzania). Activities will cover topics such as the importance of hand washing, beneficial and harmful microbes in the environment, vaccination, and the effect of antibiotics.
As part of this effort we are raising funds to buy handwashing stations for participating schools in Dodoma. These will be used as practical long-term support for the schoolchildren to learn and practice proper and safe hand hygiene and sanitation, to help prevent and contain infections, and fight the spread of antimicrobial resistance.
Additional funds will cover local expenses by the team at RBA Initiative, such as transportation, internet access and compensating students and facilitators for their time.
