I've raised £30000 to help replace funds stolen from Barnet's boutique soul festival Summer Soulstice. This annual, family friendly event is run by volunteers.

Story

After an amazingly successful Summer Soulstice on June 23rd 2018, within 36 hours of the elation, we were hit with some harsh reality that a robbery had taken place at the Old Elizabethans site after the event. Thieves broke into the building late on Sunday and despite our own stringent security measures, managed to break open the safe vault using cutting gear & hammers. These people have made off with over £45,000 in takings from the event.

We fear that this money, which everyone generously helped to raise that day, will never be seen again.

The long-term effects of this theft on our charity event has created uncertainty and has seriously undermined the chances helping people in the local community. Even more worrying is that this has also put all our future fundraising events at risk.

All of us on the Summer Soulstice committee & in our event crew, are feeling crushed from this awful incident, but we want this annual event, which brings both friends, family & communities together, to have longevity and continue fund raising.
