Story

Suffragette City is a not-for-profit Manchester-based club night held annually to mark International Women’s Day, established in 2018. We raise funds for local grassroots charities supporting women and gender expansive people.

This year our event is on Saturday March 8th at YES, Charles Street, Manchester.

The bulk of our funds are raised through selling tickets and merchandise, but we host a fundraising page each year to encourage donations from anyone who cannot attend the event who may still wish to support our charities.

This year our charity partners are:

Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH)

Standing with women who sex work and helping them to experience good health, safety and emotional wellbeing.

Every Month

Tackling period poverty across Greater Manchester.

Support and Action for Women's Network (SAWN - Oldham)

Supporting Black African women in our community to help them thrive and become independent and confident individuals.

Contact Hostel

Providing accommodation and practical support for homeless teenage girls from the Manchester area.

Who are we?

Suffragette City is curated by Rina Ladybeige (The Social Service), Kath McDermott (Flesh at the Hacienda/Homoelectric), Abigail Ward (Ghost Assembly), Caroline Owen (Park Ave Communications) and Anna Duffy (Doorway Studio).
