As many of you know my lovely dad, Douglas Taylor, went to live in Maple Ward at Rochford Hospital last November. He developed vascular dementia and with his deteriation mum and the rest of the family became unable to look after him at home. His home became Maple Ward and all the staff there helped to make dad become free again to express himself as he so desired ! They cared for him like family and loved him liked we have ! I am setting up this page as there may be people that have maybe thought about sending flowers BUT........ We have decided as a family we request that no one sends flowers but any money you would have freely spent goes towards a donation to Maple Ward. Yes it is an NHS Ward but any spare cash goes towards special items for the residents ! Even small things like ice creams when it is hot all cost money and we have seen the staff go out specially to buy these things and spend time making sure the residents get to enjoy what life they have left! So I ask you to be generous towards this cause.
