    Story

Update: We are happy to share that we have completed our charity cycle!!

While most of the ride blessed us with pleasant weather, the final 30 minutes brought a bit of a challenge in the form of rain - although we are used to this in Scotland! :-) Despite the downpour, our team powered through, motivated by the incredible support we had received and the important causes we were riding for. The rain may have slowed us down, but it didn’t dampen our spirits! We are so proud to be cycling in the name of these incredible charities.

Thank you so much everyone who has donated already. We are very grateful, there will be many lives positively affected by your kind actions.

To anyone still to donate, if you can, I would encourage you to give what you can to two charities that help to make the world a more enjoyable place for humans and canines alike.

    Team Spirit and Personal Challenges

One of the most rewarding aspects of this cycle was the sense of community and teamwork. As a team that's not particularly athletic, the ride was certainly challenging for us. We faced personal hurdles, from exhaustion to steep hills, and the rain in the last stretch didn’t make it any easier. But we pushed through, motivated by our shared goal of making a difference. The encouragement from friends, family, and supporters cheering us on—both virtually and in person—made every kilometre worth it.

St. Vincent's are ready to strap on our helmets and inflate our tires as we gear up for a jaunt around Bute's southern shores on the 29th of August 2024!

Our motley crew of amateur cyclists, armed with determination and a questionable sense of direction, will be embarking on a quest to pedal 32 miles in the name of charity!

    A Bit About Us

St. Vincent's is a healthcare consultancy that's been around for nearly 25 years. We started off as a recruitment company before moving into the transformation, advisory and solutions space. We believe that if we look after our NHS healthcare services, they’ll look after us. Ultimately that's what drives us to pioneer digital transformation that improves the lives of clinicians, staff and patients.

Our campaign aims to support two incredible causes: Mental Health Innovations and Second Chance (an international dog rescue charity).

As a supplier in the healthcare IT space Mental Health Innovations seemed like a perfect fit. We have a shared commitment to leveraging digital advancements to enhance healthcare and improve lives.

Why did we pick Second Chance? Our very own PMO Lead Natasha Gray discovered her cherished furry companion, Cleo, thanks to their assistance.

"They have saved hundreds of dogs including our lovely Cleo, who was found dumped on the streets of Egypt. She was left for days covered in ticks, being hit by cars and attacked by street dogs. Thanks to the amazing people at Second Chance, she was taken off the streets, treated for diseases and placed in a safe kennel. She then made the long journey to her forever home with us in Troon in February, and we already don't know what we'd do without her!" - Natasha Gray.

    More About Our Charities:

Mental Health Innovations uses pioneering technology to improve mental health in the UK.

    Their impact:

    - 2m conversations about mental health

    - 675,000 texters supported in the moment

    - 70m text messages exchanged

“We want to use the power of technology to reach the millions of people, especially young people, who feel isolated and alone, and help them to find the right place to talk" Victoria Hornby , CEO of Mental Health Innovations.
