I've raised £4000 to travel to Iloilo in the Philippines to volunteer in their hospitals and local Ati Tribe

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this.
I have recently started studying to become a Registered Nurse at the University of Gloucestershire after a long struggle with lots of barriers in my way - it seemed the universe was against me at some points but I believe I passed this test and have come through shining!
At Uni, they allow us students the time (6 weeks) to experience an elective placement, where we can choose and organise anywhere in the world to make a difference to. I knew straight away I needed to go somewhere different and less fortunate with a lower standard of health care than the UK so I have chosen Iloilo in the Philippines.
I am giving my time and labour for free but do however need to fund my flights, food, drink, living costs, insurance etc. over the time I am there. I am not looking to make any money from this experience, I simply want to learn and help, so any donations would be hugely appreciated! Even just a share on Facebook if you don't have any spare pennies to give I would really be thankful for :)
I feel this is the perfect place to gain experience and help in any way that I can using the skills I have already gained working in Theatre in my local hospital for the past 1.5 years (as an HCA) and what I have learned over my first year at Uni. It was a devastating accident I witnessed in Vietnam that solidified my drive to learn to help those less fortunate than myself so I feel ending my first year studying doing exactly that will be very apt and will draw my first year to a close very nicely.
Thank you in advance and let's hope I can make it there!
