Story

Chloe has recently began her battle with Cancer. Here's her story so far...

In December 2019 Chloe who was previously fit & healthy, was admitted to hospital after having a seizure at home - leaving her unconsious and unaware of what had happened. Scans and further tests revealed that Chloe had a small brain tumour and was also diagnosed with epilepsy.

Chloe was told that her tumour did not require surgery and would be managed with medication and regular scans.

A few months later Chloe was struggling and her health was quickly deteriorating. She was having regular seizures leaving her exhausted, rarely able to leave her home and struggling with day-to-day tasks. She was unable to return back to her job as a Teaching Assistant working at KTS Academy Brotton - which truly meant the world to her.

In March 2020 a scan revealed that her tumour had grown several times its original size. Chloe was taken in for immediate surgery to remove the tumour.

Tests were taken which sadly revealed her tumour was a stage 4 Glioblastoma cancerous brain tumour.

Chloe has now started her chemotherapy and radiotherapy journey. Although she is incredibly exhaused and poorly, she continues to amaze her family and friends with her strength, positivity and capability to be the incredible Mum to her three young daughters.

Since Chloe's operation she has been unable and will continue to be unable to live independantly.

Chloe and her three daughters - Lola 14, Isabelle 11 & Blossom 6 now live with Chloe's Mum, who has given up her role as a foster carer to focus all of her time and energy to care for Chloe and her girls.

Unfortunetly, the home where they are living is in need of adaptations to give Chloe and her girls the space they need to live a more comfortable life. Which is the reason behind creating this page.

Architects are currently in the process of drawing up plans to add two further bedrooms to the home.

With the help from friends and family, we aim to be able to contribute towards the cost of these apadtations as much as possible, through different fundrasing events & challenges (which will soon be posted).
