Story
Stratford Link Project offers a support service to vulnerable people in Stratford upon Avon and has grown rapidly over the last few months. The project is working with local Police and community agencies and aims to give each individual an individual support plan and personalised budget.
This page is intended to help reduce street begging by offering the public a means of supporting homeless and vulnerable people without giving to them directly. This means that money can go towards targeted support and is spent appropriately, with no chance of it being used to purchase illicit substances.
The project recognises that the community want to help. However not everyone begging on the street is homeless, often those most in need are not visible. Stratford Link Project aims to offer all in need a fair chance of support and advice. Help us to reduce rough sleeping and begging and make Stratford upon Avon a safe and pleasant town for all.
We have had a difficult period recently with some serious incidents resulting in closure. We are now able to reopen in a reduced capacity. We have formalised the way we offer support meaning that we are able to respond in a much more targeted way
