Formula 1 in Schools is an international competition for 11-19 year olds. Team of 2-6 race model 'Formula 1 cars of the future' which they have designed, tested and manufactured themselves. The project is recognised globally as the most prestigious STEM competition in the world, with over 44 countries taking part and 20 million students involved.

Storm Racing is a group of 16-17 year old girls from Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College who compete in the Formula 1 in Schools competition. We currently are 2x North West Regional Champions, the best all girls team in the UK, and the 8th best in the UK. We recently attended the 2017 North West Regional Finals where we we not only won overall but were awarded 4 other awards: Research and Development, Sponsorship and Marketing, Fastest Car and Best Engineered Car. This now means that we have been invited to attend the UK National Finals once again, this time with even higher aspirations to win the all valuable place at the World Finals in Singapore.

All money raised will be going towards funding for team uniform, materials for the car, the pit display, travel and accommodation costs, and many other things.
