Story
With parliament voting for no free school meals over half term we are a group of Cheshire parents who are getting together with a local charity in Winsford to make sure children in the poorest families will get a free lunchtime meal during half term.
Unemployment has doubled locally in the last 12 months and we know there are children out there who need our help. To access help families will be referred via their school so we know the help will be going to the families that need it.
We have a strong community spirit here in Cheshire - lets work together to make sure there is no holiday hunger this half term.Children will be referred via their school - a process which is already in place. This is a volunteer led effort and everything that you donate will go towards providing food parcels for those in need, this half term and beyond
