    Story

St Martins Church - fundraising after break in.

Break in - Further details can be found on our Facebook page.

On the evening of the 23rd December St Martins Church was broken into. Glass window was broken and the sound system including, microphones, ipods and other electrical equipment were stolen, which had been set up ready for our Christmas Service to begin within a few hours on Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day. It is only through the generosity of our community that we were able to loan a sound system to enable us to get through the Christmas period.

We are asking our community for help to raise funds to cover the cost of repairs /replacement and possible increase of security measures.

We have recently had to make several claims on our insurance due to criminal damage to our Church and we have high premiums and can ill afford a further claim, therefore, we are appealing for you help.

We know that lots of people in Droylsden have enjoyed being part of community groups that meet at St Martin's Church - Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Guides, Tots groups, Tai Chi, Performing Arts, Play and Praise, Place of Welcome, to name but a few - as well as the Christmas & Summer Fairs and numerous parties!

The bread and butter thing is run by Volunteers every Monday at Church

Our mobile food clubs make life more affordable for people on low incomes, build stronger communities and reduce food waste.

Places of Welcome is run by Church Volunteers every Thursday at Church

Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to connect, belong and contribute.

Please can you help us reach our target of £2500 by giving a donation of any amount you can afford (it can be less that the Justgiving suggested amounts!)?

Thank you for your continued support.
