On Palm Sunday afternoon St Luke's suffered a fire in the sanctuary. We are devastated by the damage to our altar, several altar frontals, linens, crucifix, candlesticks and many other items. Some of these are destroyed and will need to be replaced, others are severely damaged and require professional restoration. The whole church also needs a thorough deep clean to recover from the smoke, soot and acrid smell.

Our insurance company are being supportive, but we would like to raise the money to cover the excess on the policy, and to use this opportunity to improve our sanctuary design and furnishings.
