Over the last two years, Still Ill OK has been a growing art 'lack-of-movement' across the North West of England, and has begun to spread across the world. After receiving a small amount of emergency funding during the COVID crisis from ACE, we have decided to put together a safe, controlled and accessible hub for chronically ill & disabled artists to connect, skill-share and create work together.

'IndEX' is short for Indoor Explorers, which is where this idea started.

After organising and forming our smaller collective, we will use Microsoft Teams to invite artists to take part in discussions, workshops and more,

Money raised through this page will go towards the monthly subscription fee to Microsoft Teams.

We will run online workshops and work on creative projects together, sharing skills and suggesting areas where we might like to invite someone in to talk to us. Most of all, we are an activist group, and we will make and craft art together that is big, matters, and asks the questions needed to be asked. We might even answer some of them too.

Breakdown of costs:

£22.80 - Microsoft Teams Subscription 6 months at £3.80/month

£660 - Access Support budget for 6 months (Up to £110 per session for 5 sessions e.g. live BSL interpreter)

£810 - Workshop Delivery x 6 workshops/meetings at £135 fee for facilitators per workshop

We are in the process of applying for funding for this project and others, so any donation you can make in the mean time will really help to boost our profile and will give both financial and emotional encouragement to those of us who have felt a bit deflated over the lockdown period!
