Cancer is an evil disease that affects so many. But the impact is not just on health. A cancer diagnosis comes out of the blue - impacting every aspect of that persons life. Physically, emotionally, mentally and financially.

Anyone who knows the lovely Steve Kite will have seen that he is currently facing a head on battle with this awful disease once again. This time, it is inoperable, but Steve is a fighter and is taking all the steps to ensure he is able to live his life as best as he can.

You will all have seen from the outpouring of love and support just how well he is thought of, but so many of us feel
so helpless.

Well maybe we CAN help!!

Steve is a fighter and he's determined to try anything he can to fight this latest battle.
But meanwhile.....life still has to go on.

The bills don't go away. And let's face it, at the best of times who has spare money put aside for the unexpected? Let alone, being hit with sudden illness like Steve has and being unable to work during his diagnosis and treatment.

You will probably also know Steve has lost his voice. This is directly linked to the cancer, which has paralysed his left vocal cord. This has been the most devastating blow for him. His voice is his life. His work. Everything. From hosting his beloved radio shows, his legendary quiz nights to DJ’ing at various gigs. And indeed, his new found confidence for singing.

He would like to see a private consultant for speech therapy in the hope of gaining something back - but obviously, this comes at a cost.

I truly believe in the power of the masses, and if we could all donate something - no matter how small, and indeed share the life out of this then we can take positive action to show Steve how much he is loved.

I also believe love, laughter and good times are the greatest therapy so would love to see us raise enough for him and the lovely Penny to make some memories that will keep them strong through the tough times.
