    Story

Sadly on Monday 19th November 2018 Steve Baker took his own life leaving behind his beloved family Maria, Joe, Tom and James.

This devastating news spread fast and it quickly became apparent at how many lives Steve had touched upon. He was a dad that stood on the sideline at his son's football matches beaming with pride whilst telling a barrage of jokes to the parents. He was the friend that would go above and beyond to help you in anyway possible. He was the husband that would pop out for one drink and roll in hours later because he bumped into a few friends. He was a man that brought a ray of sunshine to everyone's lives that he touched.

Steve would often refer to himself as 'Steve Baker the Dream Maker'. These words have stuck with me, so I would like everyone whose heart was touched by Steve to be the Dream Maker for him for a change and leave a legacy for his beloved boys in his memory.

Yesterday we said our final farewell to Steve at his funeral there was an outpouring of love and affection shown for him which was beautiful to see. In reality, we all shed a tear but then return to our own lives which is human nature. Unfortunately the same doesn’t apply to his wife and boys whose lives have changed forever. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we can get everyone who knew Steve, to do what he would of, and support his beautiful family in their time of need. It doesn’t need to be much, but enough little amounts turn into something big.

Steve has been a cherished friend of our family and we were heartbroken on his passing. We know we can't take the hurt away from his family, but we thought we could leave a legacy for his family to help them put the pieces of their lives back together in the future.
