"Steph’s Jump supports others to fly."

Through my late teens and early twenties, I have suffered from Anxiety and Self Doubt, never believing I was good enough. When I turned 24 I finally opened up to some of my close family and friends to how I was really feeling and they supported me in getting counselling to overcome my fears, (being independent I found admitting I needed support really difficult)! With the guidance of my support network I was able to take new steps to get into a healthier routine. 12 months on I decided I was ready to set myself some new, bigger goals and booked a trip to America on my own to meet a group of similar minded people. This has led me to meet a very good friend who lives in New Zealand & we travelled around Bali together last year. Accepting help and admitting how I was really feeling has allowed me to achieve goals I never believed I was good enough to achieve, so 2 years on I have decided to do something which once again terrifies me but gives something back to others.

On the 8th June 2019 I will be taking part in a sky dive for a local charity ‘Inner Trust’. I have chosen Inner Trust as they are a local non-profit organisation who make a difference locally to young people who have mental health challenges or have disabilities that prevent them from achieving their dreams. I was first introduced to Spencer through work and Cheshire Connect in our ‘Skill Donner’ opportunities.

Spencer from Inner Trust: Steph has kindly offered to do this amazing and brave sky dive to help us to continue our work with children, young people and older adults in and around Cheshire. The funds Steph raises will go towards VR equipment that will allow our users to experience activities they would like to, but due to disability or cost they may never experience in reality e.g. going on a roller-coaster, flying in a plane or hot air balloon, standing on Everest or at the Grand Canyon, or walking around New York City. Steph’s sky dive will help change so many lives and give the person a truly life changing positive experience.

I have paid for the initial £75 for the sky dive myself. The remaining £180 will be taken from the rest of my fundraising with everything else raised going to Inner Trust.
