Steph's Story..... Help us make a difference

It’s with unimaginable sadness last week that our good friend and part of the Agnew Group family, Stevie Cunningham said his final goodbyes to his loving partner Steph, the mother of his two children. She sadly lost her battle with cancer at the age of 31, taken far far too young. Steph leaves behind her devoted partner Stevie and their two beautiful kids, Holly aged 2 and Theo aged 1.

Steph was a bright, hardworking, bubbly and beautiful young woman taken from their lives too soon. Sadly the best medical care and all the money in the world couldn’t help Steph win her fight against cancer. We all now however have the opportunity to give that wee family the best start they can in the next daunting and difficult chapter in their lives.

Steph and Stevie took the right steps to protect their kids future as any parent would but through a cruel twist of fate and a loophole Steph’s critical illness and life insurance will not pay out a penny. This leaves a family with a mortgage, 2 young babies needing childcare and a devoted dad in Stevie not knowing when and even if he can return to working the long hours a motor trade job dictates.

I want to ask friends, colleagues of ours, colleagues of Steph’s, anyone & everyone that reads this post to go to the just giving page we have set up (link below) to please please come together and donate as much as you possibly can to help this family in their time of need. Help them cover funeral expenses, bills, childcare costs and whatever else they need to get back on their feet after this absolute tragedy.

To further raise awareness of this I would like all of you to change your profile picture to one of Steph on social media, facebook or instagram – and to tag yourselves and like & share this post and JustGiving link around as many people as is physically possible. Let’s all do the best we can by Stevie and their two young kids. Steph will never be forgotten, her kids and Stevie live on in her memory.....

    From Family & Friends

This week I lost my best friend/soul mate/partner in crime. You were the bravest strongest person I have ever met. I am so lucky to have had you in my life and cant begin to put into words how much we love and miss you. Thank you for our two beautiful kids and I promise we will never forget you. I'm glad you are no longer suffering. Rest in peace princess. Love you always - Stevie

Steph you were the most wonderful person I've ever met. Even though you were the younger sister I looked up to you. You were the cool, fun and adventurous one. You had no fear and were so popular. But you were most of all selfless. You always thought of others and put us before yourself. I don't know how were going to cope without you, but I know you would be telling us to live life to the max like you did. We will always be there for you & the family and if you can please look over us. Love you billions XXXX - Chris

To our inspirational, brave and beautiful one of a kind friend. Steph you are our Rainbow, special and rare to find - just what your friendship meant to us all. You were the best person to be around, funny, loyal, caring and direct when we needed it the most. You were so supportive in everything that we wanted to do, and so full of life, fun and adventure. You lit up the room with positivity and your readiness to party, first and last on the dance floor we were always in awe of your silly dance moves that would put a smile on everyone's face. The memories we have are full of fun, laughter, booze and most importantly love. You never had less than a smile on your face which was always beautiful with your home made make up skills. It is so fitting that your love to travel allowed you to meet the love of your life, move to Belfast, settle down and have two beautiful children - Holly and Theo. Stevie - you were Steph's soul mate and best friend and even though we couldn't understand you half the time you were the best thing that ever happened to Steph. Steph you were more than just a friend you were family. We will never forget you and we will all love you - forever and always. - FUB xx

Steph was always a fun loving child who had the ability of entertaining all those around her, which now her kids have taken over. She lots of patience and enjoyed all things creative. She studied well at school and made a great group of life long friends who made it over to see her in her last days. She developed a passion for travelling which started on the other side of the world to Australia and onto many different countries, this is where she met Stevie and continued her travels with him. Eventually settling down in Northern Ireland. Steph was Cabin Crew at Easy Jet for a number of years before starting their own little family and enjoying all the outdoors and activities NI has to offer. Steph made friends very easily and had a very infectious laugh. She was so selfless and loved everything about Xmas including buying, wrapping and giving out presents. Especially to her dad where they would both try to out do each other on who gets the silliest present each year. SHE WILL BE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS - Mum, Dad & Stevie.

You are all wonderful people and the generosity has been nothing short of amazing. Over 1200 people have made this possible - a huge thank you to you all from Stevie, his family and me. We’ll continue to support them in every way we can as the days and weeks roll on. 🙏🏻♥️
