Story

Jenni lives with her husband Damien and their young son Dylan in Peel House, a concrete tower block in Bingley. This week they are threatened with imminent homelessness by Incommunities, the Bradford area's social housing quango. Please help!

Jenni is a dedicated teaching assistant and community volunteer who last year featured with Dylan in a short film I made called HIGH RISE DAMP, about the poor housing conditions on their estate. If you can spare a few minutes to watch it, you'll understand why I'm trying to help them now.

Incommunities are threatening to evict Jenni and her family on Tuesday, November 7th, unless they can pay off a big chunk of the compounded rent arrears that they owe... Yet as the film explains, their debt was initially incurred when Jenni had to take unpaid time off work to care for Dylan when he was sick. Doctors said his health problems were very likely related to the mould in their flat -- but although the mould has now been treated, the arrears are still outstanding... And because of this debt, the family can't even get the references they'd need to move anywhere else! It's what they call a vicious circle.

Please help save this brave family and their gifted, scholarship-winning son from being thrown into a homeless hostel, or worse... Thankyou so much.
